Terms of Use

Version 1.0, effective 2026-09-27. The Lithuanian version prevails in case of discrepancy.

1. Service provider

PirkPigiau is provided by Faustas Šedauskas, individual activity (Lithuania), email pirkpigiau4@gmail.com (“we”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

PirkPigiau is an information service. It helps you find products, compare prices and offers across retailers, and locate nearby stores. We do not sell products and are not a party to any purchase. You buy directly from retailers, on their terms.

PirkPigiau is not affiliated with, or acting for, Maxima, IKI, Rimi, Lidl, Norfa, Barbora, Senukai, Ermitažas or any other retailer mentioned. Trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify stores and products.

3. Price, offer and stock information

• We aim for accuracy, but prices, offers and stock change. Data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The price in the store prevails.
• We show when each price was last updated. A discount is shown only when the source also provides the regular price.
• Price per kg or litre is calculated from the package price and amount. It is for comparison and may be rounded.
• Stock status is shown only when a reliable source provides it. Otherwise we show “Stock unknown”.
• Data labelled “DEMO” is demonstration data. It is not real prices, offers, stock or store locations and must not be relied on.
• Quality and “Deal + quality” scores are calculated from publicly available objective indicators (e.g. Nutri-Score, NOVA, additives, certifications). The calculation is shown next to each product. Scores are informational. They are not nutritional, medical or other professional advice.

4. Account

• Search works without an account. An account is needed for favourites, notifications and Premium.
• Sign-in is via Google. We never receive your Google password. You are responsible for your Google account’s security.
• You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the account settings.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• scrape or otherwise collect data from PirkPigiau automatically, or circumvent rate limits or bot protection;
• overload or disrupt the service, attempt unauthorised access, or test for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
• use the service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights;
• resell or redistribute service data commercially without our consent.

If you break these rules, we may restrict access (e.g. temporary “429 Too Many Requests” responses) or suspend your account. Please report security issues to pirkpigiau4@gmail.com.

6. Premium

• Premium costs €2.00 per month, including VAT where applicable.
• Premium adds extra sort modes (“Best quality”, “Deal + quality”) and score explanations. Basic search, sorting by price, the map, favourites and notifications remain free.
• Payments are not yet available. Before you can order, we will clearly show the payment provider, billing terms, auto-renewal and how to cancel. Until then Premium cannot be purchased.
• You will be able to cancel at any time. Premium then remains active until the end of the paid period.
• Consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts. If you expressly ask us to start Premium immediately and acknowledge that you will lose this right, it may be lost in whole or in part, as provided by the Lithuanian Civil Code.

7. Third-party services

The service uses Google Maps. By using the map you agree to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. “Navigate” opens Google Maps. Store locations © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Product information from Open Food Facts (ODbL). We are not responsible for the content or operation of third-party services.

8. Intellectual property

The site design, software, the “PirkPigiau” brand and content we create belong to us. Data from open sources remains subject to its licences.

9. Limitation of liability

• The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• We are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate or outdated third-party price, offer or stock information, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury, intent or gross negligence. Nothing limits your mandatory consumer rights.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may stop providing the service or suspend an account for serious breaches of these terms. Where possible, we will give notice in advance.

11. Changes

We will give at least 14 days’ notice of material changes on the site and, if you have an account, by email. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and delete your account.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Lithuanian law. Consumers also keep the mandatory protections of their country of residence. We try to resolve disputes by negotiation: write to pirkpigiau4@gmail.com. Consumers may also turn to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of Lithuania (vvtat.lrv.lt), which handles out-of-court disputes free of charge, or to the courts of Lithuania.
